- Description
HDMI output, VGA projector — the meeting that happens every day. This converter cable carries the conversion in the mould: HDMI A male into the source, VGA 15-pin male out to the display, supporting 1080p so the slides and video arrive at full definition on the legacy screen.
It is specified like a proper AV cable rather than a gadget: conductor gauge selectable from 30 AWG up to 22 AWG, double or triple shielding, optional ferrite cores, 80 °C temperature rating and 30 V voltage rating. Lengths are built from 0.5 m to 50 m — the long end covering auditorium pulls where an active converter box would be one more thing to power — and a nylon jacket is optional for the installs that abuse jackets. Connectors are gold plated.

Does it need external power?
The conversion is powered from the HDMI port on most sources; some low-output devices need the powered converter version with the audio jack — see our HDMI to VGA converter with audio.
Does it carry audio?
No — VGA is video only. Use the audio-equipped converter model where sound is needed.
