HDMI to VGA Adapter for PC and Laptop, 1080P

A pocket adapter for the common office problem: the computer has HDMI out, the desk or meeting room only has a VGA monitor or projector. The HDMI plug goes into the PC, the VGA socket takes the display cable, and the picture appears at up to 1080p without a driver or a power adapter.

The chipset lives inside the plug, and the body is small enough to leave attached to a laptop bag cable. For desktop PCs, it is a cheap way to keep an older VGA monitor in service as a second screen.

Key features

• HDMI male input, VGA female output
• Resolution up to 1920 x 1080
• Built-in chipset; no drivers, no external power
• Compact dongle body for laptop bags
• Nickel-plated connectors; black housing

Specifications

Worth repeating: VGA carries video only, so this adapter does not pass audio to the display. If the screen has speakers and you need sound, use a model with a 3.5mm audio output or a separate audio lead.

Typical applications

• Office laptops driving VGA meeting-room projectors
• Adding an older VGA monitor as a second desktop screen
• A spare dongle kept in the laptop bag

Custom and OEM options

Housing colour and finish, cable length, connector plating, printed logo and retail packaging with your own artwork can all be specified. Standard items from 100 pcs, custom builds from 500 pcs, free samples, production in 20–25 working days.

FAQ

Does it work with a Mac?
Yes. Any machine with an HDMI output can drive a VGA display through this adapter, with no driver or power supply.

Will a long VGA cable blur the picture?
VGA is analogue, so keep the run reasonably short; for long distances use a shielded cable or an active extender.
