USB 2.0 A Male to A Female Panel-Mount Cable (ERC329)

Panel-mount USB is how a device inside a box offers a port on the outside of the box. This cable is the moulded-type classic: a USB 2.0 Type A female on a bulkhead flange — drilled through the panel, nut or screws from behind, and the socket sits flush facing the user — with a USB 2.0 Type A male on the far end to plug into the host board, hub or dock inside. At Hi-Speed 480 Mbps it serves the everyday class of internal devices: flash drives, dongles, phone sync ports, licence keys and service access on enclosures, machines and kiosks. The moulded flange keeps strain off the solder joints where a panel socket fails first, and the short fixed length keeps internal cable clutter predictable.

Install note: drill to the flange pattern, mount flush, and leave a small service loop inside — the A male end wants slack to reach the host without tension on the bulkhead. Because the socket passes both data and the full 500 mA-class charging current, it suits dongle duty as well as sync ports; just remember the host port behind it still sets the power budget. For OEM builds the moulded type accepts custom lengths and colour orders alongside the standard black.
