This cable connects a microphone to a mixer, guitar amplifier or instrument input over an unbalanced XLR female to 6.35 mm (1/4 inch) TS mono jack lead. It is the standard patching cable for rehearsal rooms, small PA systems, schools and churches — anywhere a microphone has to reach an amplifier that only offers a jack socket.
The XLR connector is an all-metal shielded type with a positive lock into the microphone, and the cable construction is oxygen-free copper — quiet for what it is. Why not balanced?
The destination is a mono jack input — there is nothing to balance into. For TRS-equipped destinations, our XLR-to-TRS balanced cable is the better tool.
Does it fit every mic?
Any standard 3-pin male XLR mic output — the positive latch seats it the same as any professional lead.
