- Description
A hard-wired power supply for anything that runs on 5V in a vehicle: take the 12V or 24V feed from the loom, and the converter delivers a regulated 5V to a USB output on the other end. It is the clean solution for a dash cam, a GPS unit, a tablet, a phone, a recorder or a camera that otherwise relies on a plug-in car charger falling out of a socket.
Synchronous rectification keeps efficiency high and heat low, and the whole circuit is sealed in a glue-potted case. That potting is what earns the IP68 rating: water, moisture, dust and vibration are all handled, which is why the same unit is used on motorcycles, boats and industrial equipment as well as in cars.

Two numbers worth reading before you buy. The input range is quoted as DC 8–30V in the specification table and as DC 8–52V in the factory notes — treat the wider figure as design headroom and the narrower one as the guaranteed window, and tell us if your supply can spike above 30V so we can confirm the build. The efficiency figure also appears as both more than 90% and 96%, so size for worst-case heat using the lower bound.
