HDMI A Male to Female Extension Cable, Gold Plated

The extension cable is the AV installer’s third hand: the source or display end that almost reaches, the port recessed too deep for a moulded head, the wall plate that needs a jumper. This HDMI A male-to-female extension covers all three — gold-plated connectors, triple EMI shielding, and lengths of 3, 6 and 9 ft with custom runs on order.

Conductor gauge runs 30, 28 or 26 AWG across a 5.5 mm to 7.5 mm outer diameter, conductor plating is tin over the 19-pin core, a ferrite core is optional, and a net jacket can be fitted for tool-bag duty. HDMI versions 1.3 and 1.4 are offered, supporting resolutions from 480i up to the 4K class on the 1.4 build. It is the small part that makes the whole rack install civilised.

Can I chain two extensions?
One extension is dependable; stacking joints adds signal risk. If the run needs more length, order a longer cable instead.

Which version for 4K?
Specify the 1.4 build for 4K-class sources; the 1.3 build covers up to 1440p-class duties comfortably.
