USB Type-C to USB 3.0 B Male Cable, 1 m

A USB 3.1 Type-C to USB 3.0 B male cable, made for the devices that still use the square B socket: printers, scanners, external drives, monitors with a USB hub, and some docking stations. The Type-C end goes into a laptop, tablet or phone, the B end into the peripheral.

The link is built for SuperSpeed data rates and will also carry power up to 100 W where the host and device support it, so a single cable can both drive a dock and supply it. It is backward compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices, and the Type-C plug is reversible.

Is USB 3.0 B the same as the printer plug?
It is the same family but larger than the USB 2.0 B plug used on older printers — check whether the socket is the square 2.0 type or the taller 3.0 type.

Will it power my laptop?
Power delivery depends on the host and device. This cable carries up to 100 W where the equipment supports it.
