USB 2.0 Smart KM-Link Cable, Keyboard Mouse Sharing, 6 ft

Two computers on one desk usually means two keyboards, two mice, and a USB stick walking between them all day. The Smart KM-Link cable replaces that circus with one lead: plug it into a USB port on each machine, and the keyboard and mouse in front of you control whichever screen the cursor is on — push the pointer across the edge and it lands on the other computer. File transfer is the same gesture: drag a document from one desktop to the other, clipboard sharing included.

Setup is deliberately boring: no installation CD is required — simply plug and play, with a single-cable solution for file transfer and a drag-and-drop user-friendly interface. Support covers Microsoft Windows 2000 SP3, XP, Vista and Windows 7 in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions and higher. The 6 ft (1.8 m) reach spans the desk gap between towers and screens without surplus coil.

• Keyboard and mouse sharing between two PCs
• Drag-and-drop file transfer over one cable
• Clipboard sharing between machines
• No CD required — plug and play
• 6 ft (1.8 m) lead; Windows 2000 through Windows 7+

Specifications

An honest note on what it is: an active bridge device on a cable — the electronics in the middle make it PC-to-PC safe, which a passive A-to-A lead never is. It transfers files and input, not network traffic; for gigabit-class bulk imaging, a network share remains faster.

Typical applications

• Desk with a work PC and a personal PC
• Technician laptops beside customer machines
• Test benches pairing a build PC with a capture PC
• Home office where the second machine keeps its own keyboard in a drawer
