Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Female Adapter Cable

A Mini DisplayPort adapter that ends in an HDMI female socket, so an existing HDMI cable connects straight to the laptop. It is the version to choose when the display already has a fixed or long HDMI lead and you want to plug into the Mac rather than replace the cable.

HDMI 1.3b output carries video up to 1080p with 12-bit deep colour, and audio travels over the same link — LPCM as well as compressed Dolby Digital and DTS formats. Power is taken from the Mini DisplayPort, so no external supply is required.

Key features

• Mini DisplayPort male to HDMI female
• HDMI 1.3b output, up to 1080p
• 225 MHz / 2.25 Gbps per channel
• 12-bit per channel (36-bit) deep colour
• Audio: LPCM, Dolby Digital, DTS
• Powered from the Mini DisplayPort source

Specifications

As with the whole Mini DP-to-HDMI family, audio depends on the host: older machines may pass video only. The female HDMI end means you supply the HDMI cable, so pick a good-quality one for longer runs.

Typical applications

• Connecting a MacBook to an existing HDMI display cable
• Meeting rooms where the HDMI lead is fixed to the table
• Home setups with a wall-routed HDMI cable

Custom and OEM options

Housing colour and finish, cable length, connector plating, printed logo and retail packaging with your own artwork can all be specified. Standard items from 100 pcs, custom builds from 500 pcs, free samples, production in 20–25 working days.

FAQ

Male or female?
This is the female build: the output is an HDMI socket, so you supply the HDMI cable. Choose the male version to plug straight into a display.

Is audio supported?
Audio passes over HDMI on compatible hosts; older Macs may carry video only.
