USB-C to USB 3.0 Micro-B Cable for Hard Drives

$4.60 – $5.00 / pc · MOQ 500 pcs

The drive cable for new laptops: reversible Type-C into the computer, 10-pin Micro-B 3.0 into the portable hard disk — 5 Gbps transfers, 3 A power headroom.

SKU: CTC6375 Categories: , Tags: ,

Portable hard drives shipped for a decade with the wide 10-pin Micro-B 3.0 plug — and then laptops lost every port but Type-C. This cable reattaches the drive to the modern machine: reversible USB-C male into the host, USB 3.0 Micro-B 10-pin into the drive, and the full USB 3.0 link between them at up to 5 Gbps — ten times USB 2.0, the difference between streaming from the drive and waiting on it.

Power follows the same wire: up to 3 A supports bus-powered drives without a wall adapter, and charging Micro-B devices from the Type-C host works at the same rating. The reversible Type-C end removes orientation fuss; the Micro-B end keeps its familiar keyed fit. It suits Seagate- and WD-class portable drives, the USB 3.0 era Samsung phones that used the wide plug, and any 10-pin device awaiting a Type-C host.

FAQ

Is this the same plug as phone Micro-USB?
No — the phone plug is the narrow 5-pin; this is the wide 10-pin USB 3.0 Micro-B on hard drives. Check your device’s port before ordering.

Will it run my SSD at full speed?
USB 3.0-class SSDs saturate near 5 Gbps and this cable passes that; USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) drives need the Gen 2 lead.
