OTG cable that turns a USB Type-C port into a full-size USB-A socket, so a phone or tablet can read a flash drive, external drive, mouse or keyboard.
- Description
An OTG (on-the-go) cable that plugs into a USB Type-C port and presents a full-size USB 3.0 A socket, letting a phone or tablet act as a host. With it, a Type-C device can read a USB flash drive, mount an external hard drive, or take a mouse and keyboard — useful on a tablet used as a light laptop, and on phones for moving files off a camera card.
The lead is short, 0.2 m, which is the right length for an OTG tail: long enough to reach the drive, short enough not to dangle. The cable is wired for USB 3.0 data rates and is shielded with aluminium foil, and it has passed voltage and short testing.

FAQ
Will it work with any Type-C phone?
The device must support USB host mode over Type-C. Most recent Android phones and tablets do; some do not.
Does it charge at the same time?
This cable carries data and OTG; charging while hosting is not supported on this model.
