Metal Spring USB Type-C to Type-A 2.0 Cable
$4.20 – $5.00 / pc · MOQ 500 pcs
USB-C to USB-A 2.0 cable with a metal spring body that shrugs off bending at the plug, built to the Type-C specification with the required 56 kOhm resistor.
- Description
This cable connects a USB Type-C phone, tablet or accessory to the huge installed base of USB-A ports: wall chargers, power banks, car chargers and laptop sockets. It carries charge and USB 2.0 data on the same lead, and the 56 kOhm resistor on the CC line is built in as the Type-C specification requires, so a host charger negotiates the correct current instead of guessing.
The body that gives the cable its name is a metal spring section between the shell and the jacket — the part of an ordinary cable that flexes to death first. The spring absorbs the bend, the conductors inside keep their shape, and the connector survives pocket and desk duty far longer. Conductors are 28 AWG data pairs plus 24 AWG power in a 3.5 mm jacket, and every lead passes voltage, short and CheckR testing before it ships.

FAQ
What does the 56 kOhm resistor do?
It tells a USB-C-aware charger how much current the device may draw. Cables without it can make some chargers over-deliver or throttle.
Is the spring section live wiring?
No. It is a metal shell over the conductors; the cable behaves like any other USB 2.0 lead.
