USB-C to USB 3.0 B Printer Cable

$4.00 – $6.00 / pc · MOQ 500 pcs

Connects a USB-C computer to a USB 3.0 Type-B device — printer, external drive, docking station or scanner — at up to 5 Gbps, with foil and braid shielding.

SKU: CTC6385 Categories: , Tags: ,

This cable connects a USB Type-C computer to a USB 3.0 Type-B device: a printer, an external drive enclosure, a docking station or a scanner. It exists because of the transition — machines now ship with only Type-C ports, while the peripherals already on the desk still expect the square Type-B plug.

The construction is what holds the data rate: tinned copper conductors with foil and braid shielding, twisted pairs to cut crosstalk, and moulded strain relief at both ends. Connected to a USB 3.0 host and device it transfers at up to 5 Gbps, and the overmoulded connector is colour-coded blue to mark the USB 3.0 end. EMI and RFI protection comes from the shielding combination rather than a ferrite bead, which keeps the cable slim enough to route easily.

FAQ

Will it work with a USB 2.0 printer?
Yes, the cable is backward compatible; the link simply runs at the lower USB 2.0 speed.

Does it carry enough power for a desktop drive?
A 3.5-inch desktop drive normally needs its own power supply. This cable carries data and standard USB power, which suits 2.5-inch drives.
