3.5mm Headphone and Mic Splitter, Female to 2 Male
$4.50 – $6.00 / pc · MOQ 500 pcs
Turns one 3.5mm headset plug into separate microphone and headphone jacks, so a phone headset works on a laptop or desktop with two sockets. 20 cm.
- Description
This splitter takes the single 3.5mm plug on a phone headset and separates it into a microphone plug and a headphone plug, so the headset can be used on a laptop or desktop that has two separate sockets. It is the small adapter that solves the everyday mismatch between a headset built for a phone and a computer built for separate mic and headphone plugs.
The build is straightforward but worth doing properly: pure copper conductors in a PVC jacket with an outer diameter of 3.5 mm, gold-plated 3-pole connectors on all three ends, and a short 20 cm lead that keeps the run tidy on a desk. Both male plugs are 3-pole, 2-channel types, so the headphone and microphone signals are carried separately. Black and white are standard, other colours to order.

FAQ
Will it work with a gaming headset?
Yes, provided the headset ends in a single 3.5 mm plug. Headsets that already end in two plugs do not need this adapter.
Which plug carries the microphone?
The two male plugs are separate channels: one carries the headphone signal, the other the microphone signal, matching the two sockets on the computer.
