MAN Truck 37-Pin to OBD2 16-Pin Adapter, 40 cm

This adapter is a connector which allows you to connect the 37-pin socket on MAN heavy-duty trucks to the 16-pin OBD2 connector used by current-generation diagnostic tools. MAN’s pre-standard fleets carry the large round 37-pin diagnostic socket; this is the bridge that lets the workshop’s existing OBD2-based tools reach them.

The 40 cm lead gives working reach in the cab, the temperature range is −30 to +80 °C, and the materials comply with the RoHS standard. As with the whole family, it is a passive adapter: pins route, protocols do not change.

One honest scope note that runs across this whole family: a passive adapter changes the connector and routes the pins that the vehicle’s interface shares with OBD2 — it does not add protocols. Which systems a scan tool actually reads depends on the vehicle and the tool software, not on this cable.
