Chrysler 6-Pin to OBD2 16-Pin Adapter, 40 cm

$9.60 / pc · MOQ 500 pcs

The old-Chrysler bridge: 6-pin socket, 5-pin pass-through, to your 16-pin OBD2 tool. 40 cm reach, 80 g, cold-rated and RoHS-compliant.

SKU: CTC6252-12 Category: Tag:

This adapter connects old Chrysler vehicles fitted with the 6-pin diagnostic socket to a standard 16-pin OBD2 tool, passing through the 5 pins the legacy interface shares with OBD2. One socket position is unused by the vehicle — hence 6-pin shell, 5-pin pass-through.

The 40 cm lead gives a little working reach beyond the socket (80 g overall), the temperature range is −30 to +80 °C, and the materials comply with the RoHS standard.

One honest scope note that runs across this whole family: a passive adapter changes the connector and routes the pins that the vehicle’s interface shares with OBD2 — it does not add protocols. Which systems a scan tool actually reads depends on the vehicle and the tool software, not on this cable.

FAQ

Why 5 pins on a 6-pin socket?
That is the vehicle’s design — the shell has 6 positions, the interface uses 5. The adapter mirrors the socket faithfully.

Which years?
Pre-1996 US-market and similar-era exports, before the J1962 mandate. Match the socket photo.
