A Toslink male-to-male optical cable with a PVC-moulded connector body: a 24K gold-plated plug at each end, an optical-fibre core and up to 5 m.
- Description
The PVC-moulded build of the Toslink optical cable: the same fibre-optic core and 24K gold-plated plug, in a low-profile moulded connector body. It is the value option in the range — lighter and more flexible than a metal-shell lead, and easier to route behind a rack.
Because the signal is light, the cable gives full galvanic isolation between the two devices, which removes any possibility of a ground loop or hum across the link.

Two notes. It is a light, moulded lead, so if the installation puts repeated stress on the plug a metal-shell version will last longer. And avoid sharp bends anywhere along the run — the fibre carries the light and a tight kink will attenuate it, whichever body the connector uses.
