USB 3.0 to SATA Adapter Cable for 2.5/3.5-inch Drives

An adapter that turns any standard SATA drive into external storage. Connect a 2.5-inch hard disk or SSD, or a 3.5-inch SATA drive, to a computer through a USB 3.0 port and it appears as a removable drive — the fastest way to back up a disk, clone one to another, or recover files from a machine that will not boot.

At 3 ft the cable gives room to lay the drive beside the computer rather than hang it off the port. Data moves at up to 5 Gbps, ten times the USB 2.0 rate, and the adapter is compliant with the Serial ATA Rev 2.6 specification.

Specifications

One power note that matters. A 2.5-inch drive runs from USB power, but a 3.5-inch SATA drive needs an external 12V supply, which is not included — contact us if you want the 12V adapter added to the order. The factory package list and the description disagree on whether a power adapter ships in the box, so we will confirm the contents on your quote.
