Moulded HDMI extension cable that adds reach to an existing lead or brings a port out to a wall plate or cabinet front, with gold-plated contacts and lengths to 20 m.
- Description
An HDMI extension cable with a male plug on one end and a female socket on the other. It is the practical answer to two everyday problems: a lead that is just too short to reach the screen, and a device whose HDMI socket is buried at the back of a cabinet or behind a wall.
Because the female end is the part that gets plugged and unplugged, it is built with a moulded shell and strain relief so repeated use does not loosen the contacts. It is a straight-through cable, so the signal is simply passed along — it does not convert or boost, and it is not a repeater.

FAQ
Will it reduce picture quality?
A single passive extension on a short run has no visible effect. Chaining several extensions together is what causes dropouts — use one extension and keep the total run reasonable.
Does it work in either direction?
Yes, it is a straight-through cable, though the male end normally plugs into the source device.
