Metal Shell HDMI Cable, A Male to A Male

$6.20 – $13.80 / pc · MOQ 500 pcs

HDMI cable with metal-shell plugs and gold-plated contacts, built for installations where a moulded plug would not survive repeated use or a tight rack.

SKU: CTC175 Categories: , Tag:

An HDMI cable whose plugs are housed in a die-cast metal shell instead of the usual moulded plastic. The metal shell resists the twisting and side-loading that breaks plastic connectors in a rack, and it shields the plug end against interference. Contacts are 24K gold plated, and the jacket is a 7.3 or 8.0 mm PVC build with aluminium foil and braid under it.

It is a full-size type A male to type A male cable for the standard runs: source to TV, console to projector, player to display. Metal shell finishes include gold, pearl chrome and gun black, so the cable can be matched to the hardware around it.

FAQ

Does the metal shell affect the signal?
No, it shields the plug end. Signal quality is set by the conductor and shielding inside the cable.

Is it heavier than a plastic plug?
Slightly, which is part of why it survives rack use better.
