USB 1.1 Extender Over Cat5, Up to 50 m

Some USB jobs are simply far away: a camera down the corridor, a printer in the next room, a keyboard where the operator stands. This extender moves the port: a local unit takes the host’s USB, a remote unit offers it again up to 50 m away, and a standard Cat5/5E/6 patch cord carries the signal between them — the one cable every building already has in abundance (patch cord not included, to be fair).

An honest note on speed: this is the 1.1-class extender — 12 Mbps serves input devices, printers and standard webcams beautifully, but not disk drives or video capture; for those, the 2.0-class extender in this shop goes to 100 m.
