6ft USB to Parallel Printer Cable, IEEE 1284

The long version of the USB-to-parallel printer cable, at 6 ft. It reaches from the computer to a printer sitting further across the desk or on a shelf, so a parallel printer that lacks a USB port can carry on working on a modern machine through the standard IEEE 1284 interface.

Throughput is far above a legacy parallel port — USB provides up to 12 Mbps against roughly 150 kbps — and the cable is true plug and play with hot-plug support. Under Windows it is detected as soon as it is connected, and a driver CD is included.
