This Micro USB cable wears a knitted nylon jacket over copper conductors in a flat profile. The weave is the durability story: where a plain PVC lead frays at the plug within months, the fabric braid resists abrasion and the flat section refuses to knot in a bag. FAQ

Why does the flat shape matter?
A flat ribbon does not twist into knots the way a round lead does, and it lies flat under a book or a door edge without the conductors taking a set.

Does the fabric braid fray?
The woven nylon is far more abrasion resistant than PVC. Like any textile it can snag on velcro, but it will not crack or peel the way a jacket does.
