- Description
This 2-in-1 memory saver ends the donor-car dependency: alligator clips close on any 12 V lead-acid battery, the lighter plug accepts another vehicle’s socket or a jump starter’s 12 V outlet, and the OBD2 end holds the car’s electronics alive through the battery change — codes, presets and learned values intact.
The red LED on the plug is the quiet hero: it lights only when the 12 V source is correctly connected, so a reversed clip announces itself before it costs anything. If the LED stays dark, check the source — socket condition in the donor car, contact on the jump starter, polarity on the battery. One routine caution: the vehicle stays electrically live through the OBD connection, so insulate the battery positive before removal and follow the maker’s procedure.

Why is the LED not lit?
Polarity or the source: reversed clips, a dead lighter socket, or poor jump-starter contact. Fix the source before touching the battery — the LED is the go signal.
Can it hold memory overnight?
It is built for the battery-change window; for long storage, a proper maintenance charger is the right tool.
