OBD2 Extension Cable with Inline Power Switch
$7.90 – $10.80 / pc · MOQ 500 pcs
The always-plugged device, one switch from the battery: this OBD2 extension cuts standby drain at the flip of a switch — length confirmed per order.
- Description
Anything left plugged into the OBD2 port draws something — and a vehicle parked for a week finds out how much. This extension cable puts an inline power switch in the run: switch it off and the downstream scanner, tracker or DVR loses its supply completely; switch it on and the device runs as if directly plugged in.
The habit it replaces is worse than the problem it solves: drivers unplugging adapters at every stop and leaving them in the door pocket, or worse, installers tapping fused ignition circuits that no longer carry diagnostics at all. One switch in the OBD2 run keeps the port as the single service point and the battery as the only thing it feeds.
Wiring carries the 16-pin port through to the device, and the switch housing sits where a driver reaches it without unplugging anything. Length is confirmed per order — send the vehicle type and mounting position, and we build the run to match, which is how fleet retrofit orders prefer to buy it anyway.

FAQ
Does the switch cut data or just power?
It cuts the supply to the device; with the switch on, the port passes through as if the cable were plain.
Which length should I order?
Measure port to device position and add slack for dressing — or send the vehicle model and we confirm the run.
