The mini-box format is the smallest ELM327 in this shop’s line — 4.7 × 3.2 × 2.3 cm and 22 g — and the blue shell is its most-ordered finish. Pair it from an Android smartphone (Bluetooth password 1234), open Easy OBD2, ScanMaster ELM or wOBD Crazy, and the engine computer’s codes and live data arrive on the phone in your hand. It reads generic and manufacturer-specific trouble codes, displays their meaning, clears them and turns the MIL off; the live stream covers RPM, load, coolant temperature, vehicle speed, fuel trims, manifold pressure, timing advance, intake air temperature, air flow rate, throttle position and oxygen sensor voltages.
The electricals are the reason to prefer the box over unbranded sticks: 12 V operation with internal protection against short circuits and overvoltage, and a nominal idle current of 45 mA — modest enough to leave plugged in between drives. Three honest notes carried over from the original listing: this unit does not work on iOS (buy the WIFI or Bluetooth 4.0 version for iPhone); the adapter does not support every protocol, so check your car model’s protocol before ordering — protocol-mismatch disputes cannot be accepted; and the tool reports engine status, it does not fix engines.
