- Description
This is the scanner for people who do not want their diagnosis to depend on a phone: a handheld OBD2 code reader with its own display and buttons, powered from the vehicle’s OBDII port at DC 9–16 V. Plug it in, turn the ignition on, and it determines the cause of the check-engine light — reads trouble codes, displays their meanings, clears them and resets the monitors, with no app install, no pairing and no protocol wrestling.
The feature set covers the pre-purchase and annual-inspection essentials: live data stream viewing, I/M readiness status for emissions testing, OBD-II freeze frame capture, and retrieval of vehicle information including VIN, CID and CVN. Menus run in seven languages — English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Italian plus the default — which matters in mixed-language workshops. Electrical draw is a modest 80 mA; the body is ABS plastic.
