SAE J1939 9-Pin to OBD2 16-Pin Adapter Cable

This adapter plugs into the round 9-pin SAE J1939 socket fitted to most trucks and buses, and presents a standard 16-pin OBD2 socket on the other end. That lets a GPS tracker, scan tool or code reader designed for OBD2 be connected to a vehicle that uses the J1939 diagnostic connector.

Only the pins needed for the common J1939 and J1708/J1587 signals are wired, so check the pin assignment against your tool before relying on a particular function. The pinout is listed below.
