SAE J1939 9-Pin 2-in-1 to OBD2 16-Pin Adapter Cable

$18.00 / pc · MOQ 500 pcs

Two-in-one J1939 adapter that puts both a 9-pin female and a 9-pin male socket on one 16-pin OBD2 plug, so a single cable covers the trucks in your fleet.

SKU: CTC6252-55 Category:

This two-in-one adapter connects a truck’s SAE J1939 9-pin diagnostic socket to a standard 16-pin OBD2 plug, carrying both a female and a male 9-pin head so one cable fits round and Deutsch-style J1939 ports. It is what lets a telematics unit, GPS tracker or scan tool read CAN1 (J1939) data from a vehicle that was never built with an OBD2 socket.

Only the pins your device needs are wired, so compare the pin assignment in the table with your scanner’s requirement before ordering — a function that depends on an unconnected pin will not work. The standard pinout is kept in stock and custom assignments are built to order.

FAQ

Why do some functions not respond once it is plugged in?
Not all sixteen pins are populated — only the lines used for J1939 and J1708 signalling are wired. Check that your device uses one of them.

Can it be used on a 24 V truck?
Yes. Pin B takes the vehicle supply directly, so the same cable suits 12 V and 24 V systems provided your device accepts that voltage.
