SAE J1939 Open-End Cable for Truck Diagnostics, 1 m
$12.80 / pc · MOQ 500 pcs
The integrator’s J1939 lead: 9-pin Deutsch male to colour-coded open wires (pins A through J mapped), 1 m of it — terminate where your project needs, not where a mould says.
- Description
Not every J1939 job ends in a moulded plug: telematics installs, body-builder displays, engine monitoring projects and bus simulators all want bare wires they can terminate into their own hardware. This cable is that lead — a J1939 9-pin Deutsch male connector feeding 1 m of cable to an open end, with every pin broken out and colour-coded so the termination is a wiring-diagram exercise, not a continuity hunt.
The pin map is printed here so it survives into your project notes: Pin A black, Pin B red, Pin C orange, Pin D yellow, Pin E brown, Pin F green, Pin G blue, Pin H purple, Pin J grey. Materials comply with RoHS, and the −30 to +80 °C working temperature matches truck and industrial environments. At 1 m, the lead reaches from the dash connector to a mounted display or controller without surplus coil.

Practical wiring tips from shop experience: keep the unterminated wires as short as the install allows, land them on a screw-terminal or solder-and-heatshrink rather than a quick-splice, and label both ends while the pin map is still in front of you. A led strip of adhesive-lined heatshrink over the junction keeps engine-bay moisture out of the joint for years.
An honest note: with an open end, wiring correctness is on the installer — double-check the pin map against your device’s manual before energising, and keep unused conductors insulated.
